not seeing too much this weekend but have one for tonight

- hopefully the heavy storms will end in time for the field to be in good shape for this game. Tons of attacking options on the field (DeRo, Ching, Caraccio, Mullan, Clark, Davis, Emilio, Gallardo, Moreno, etc) with one very shaky defense in DC. DC have conceded in 6 straight but have scored 19 goals in their 7 home games in 2008 and Houston have allowed an away goal in all but one MLS game. Their offense is coming around though and have scored in 5 straight. I'll call for 2-2

DC/Houston over 2.5 goals 3u -115

I know very little about soccer but I was thinking about putting some money down on DC United 0 (-180). You think that is a good bet at least to push?

yeah, should at least push. I'd have bet DC myself if Onstad, DeRosario, and Clark were still with their national teams. I just don't trust DC's defense enough to lay a -1/2 goal on them against the underachieving champs, but level ball is an OK option

I don't think it will be anytime soon, HM ... that field was a mess... Lake RFK

anyway one for tonight now too

- Jozy signed with Villareal and then picked up an ankle injury in practice...no way, IMO, they risk him tonight. Angel is nursing a hamstring injury but will play while Reyna is out. That leaves Angel with, hmmm, nobody. Chivas won 3 straight and only lost 1 of last 5.

Chivas away win 1.25u +210
Chivas +1/4 goal 2.25u -110

Chivas was looking dangerous in the 2H...thought they were going to score only to leave Angel unmarked and give up a bit of a cheap one at the 75" mark.

- Cbus time to break this losing streak and they scored in SJ 3x in 10' at the end of the last match. SJ still missing all the forwards from last week and Cbus just too much talent to give a point away to this mess at home. Very likely an under 2.5 goals match too, unless it ends 3-0

Columbus 3.33u -165

my only european championship's future is a topscorer bet on Mario Gomez

Germany should be able to score for sure as none of the 3 teams in their group are great defensively...Austria and Poland may actually be the worst defensive teams in the tourney

Gomez had a huge year in Germany, finishing 2nd in goals behind Toni and scoring 10 more goals than his next closest teammate. And he did this in just 25 games!
He will match up with Klose in attack and of course teams will concentrate on Klose, not Gomez. At the price of 16/1 I think he is great value

sun night game

- no guevara and edu in the midfield for TFC while Houston missing only 1 defender, Robinson (suspended). Houston with loads of talent but not quite getting it together so far this year. They've not lost a home match in 8 months and I expect that to continue.

Houston 5u +100

roll, do you have any idea if Carver is gonna start Sutton or the backup Edwards in goal tonight?

I would consider a play but w/o knowing the situation, I am not sure.

It wouldn't matter if TFC had Petr Cech in goal. They are a mediocre side who still can't play on the road. They were toyed with in DC last road game and I expect another similar domination from Houston, who finally appears to be getting it together.

sorry hm, forum was down all day and just stopped trying to get in until now. I assumed Sutton was playing otherwise would have noted a backup GK in my writeup
